I don't know what he's thinking because he practically never explains himself. Now he's back, starts a new thread, and advocates cumbersome, high-maintenance rules to combat scamming, while still not posting a couple of very simple guidelines that would actually help to prevent 90% of scams. Instead the thread starter decided to leave this forum for the umpteenth time. None of the ever found their way into the "Classifieds" OP.
When he surfaced again under a different name, and the "Classifieds" thread starter didn't have a better idea than creating another "known scammers" thread, I again stated that this won't help and that we need to educate people how they can trade safely with some very simple guidelines. None of them ever found their way into the "Classifieds" OP. When Wakalo surfaced the first time with his scams, and people found no better solution than creating a "known scammers" thread (as if Wakalo couldn't easily create an army of alts), I was among the first who said that creating a list of shame won't help, we have to educate people how they can trade safely. That's what I hoped to see in the original classifieds thread for _months_, but it never came to pass. I don't think this thread was meant as a FU thread, though I can see that it might come across as such, given that it was the disappointment over his actions that eventually triggered this thread to be created.īut what this general trading thread is, to me, is _finally_ a thread where the concerns about scammers are being taken serious and where useful precaution methods are advocated.
